There are many Cedar Point hotels you can choose from near the largest amusement park in the world. Depending on your budget, you can stay in cheap hotels or splurge your way through a great vacation with your family.
Cedar Point is regarded as one of the oldest yet continuously operational amusement parks in the US. It is situated along the North Coast Beaches that overlooks Lake Erie of Sandusky, Ohio. It is also noted as the largest amusement park in the world, drawing visitors from all over. Aside from these, Amusement Today voted the park again (for the 11th time) last 2008 as the world’s best amusement park.
Cedar Point Amusement Park started as a beach resort in 1870. At current, it houses a few of the fastest and tallest rides throughout the world. Some of these rides include the Millenium Force, Top Thrill Dragster and 73 other rides.
There are 2 separate attractions you’ll find in Cedar Point that aren’t included in their general admission fee. This is Soak City ? an outdoor water park; and Castaway Bay ? an indoor water park. There is also Challenge Park and its 4 attractions; namely, the Skyscraper, Ripcord, Challenge Golf and Challenge Racing for go karts.
Admission fees to Cedar Point vary, depending in the age and day of visit. The price would range from $15.95 to $42.95 US. For their two-day ride and slide packages, it would range from $33.95 US to $71.95 US. The park also gives discounts to military personnel and its immediate family. For parking, each regular sized vehicle is required to pay $10 while larger vehicles pay $15. For kids 2 yrs. old and below, admission to Soak City and Cedar Point is free. Senior citizens are also given discounts.
If you want to save more and have unlimited admission during a season, they have a season pass worth $109.95. Then there’s the Platinum Pass for only $150 which entitles the bearer to unlimited admission on all Cedar Fair water parks and amusement parks.
Inside the park, there are many wine and beer coolers. However, they have a policy ? only one drink for every valid United States driver’s license is allowed. If you want to really drink, just go to out-of-park restaurants that offer full bars.

There are numerous motels and hotels that cater to Cedar Point visitors. Booking into one of these is the best way to get close to the action ? including everything that Cedar Point can offer. Here are some of them:

SandCastle Suites ? If you can afford to splurge, this is the hotel to look for. The check in time at this hotel is 4 pm while check out is at 11am. They have a Spa and an indoor as well as an outdoor pool.
Castaway Bay ? This resort-hotel features an indoor water park. It also has a TGI Friday’s club onsite. Its address is 2001 Cleveland Road.
